I think this is Curt Stokes' Yamato during an RC warship demo at Rockwood Park, Saint John, NB - 2005? This shallow, weed-free, man-made lake is the best combat site I've seen and was considered for the first IRCWCC NATS in Canada, being an hour's drive from the border with Maine.

If I remember correctly city council would not approve a permit for NATS due to liability concerns but did allow the demo. Fredericton, the capital of NB later permitted battles in one of their lakes, where the last Cannats was held in 2008.

That is Yamato but in St.John's Newfoundland . The pond is a local Duck Pond in Bowring Park. I had parked the Mountain inside a large water fountain and allowed the model to fill up with water. I sailed Yamato out of the Fountain falls and fired up the pump. I drove the model past the archway bridge where people were leaning on the rail spectating the model. The pump stream reached past their heads and gave them a could tinkle.
