This is the Roma's current look. Like all of my ships paint schemes change from time to time. Roma is built for combat. The aft funnel was raised a little . The only detail that should be noticiable but not on board is the single AA guns that line up on the forcastle . The BB cannons may be removed and put to better use on ships that will see BB action. Roma is in need of a refit, setting up an ESC and changing out the props and enlarging the main rudder.

Amazing. Just makes you wonder what the Allies would of added to her if she wasn't sunk before Italy surrendered. She would be unstoppable!
    • CURT
She was quite powerful and under estimated. What people don't realize is that by the Armstice with the Allies all 4 of their Capitol ships had survived the war up to that point. They were ordered to ensure that troops and supplies would get through which mostly it did. The Battleships were sunk but refloated and back in action .They were able to keep British forces at bay without hitting them. They were operating under strict orders to only engage British Warships at Max range When they had the opportunity to do so they did engage It was fortunate for the British that they were under Mussolini's orders to not engage any less than max firing range.

Wasn't the Roma sunk by German bombers after the surrender of Italy?
    • CURT
Yep.By a Fritx X radio control glider Bomb that could penetrate the heaviest thickest battleship armor with ease. She took two such hits.
    • Scharnhorst56
Hey the Fritz X bomb was also used on the USS Savannah in 1943!
    • Scharnhorst56
      The Savannah was luckier though.

How long are the intervals between ship builds?
