We are very pleased to announce that the IJN Yūbari will be in our next round of mold building. A huge thanks to @Sinkazuki for his tremendous job making this plug.

It had a tough crossing, but we will get to back together and will make a very nice mold.

Ooo cool how long does it take you to produce a hull now that you have mold? What are the dimensions?

Greg, what is the next ship on the list for you to make? Or are your laser cut kit days gone?

The thanks all go to Randy for this one. I’ve done nothing for it yet. Dimensions are on the Ircwcc ship list. God willing and the creek don’t rise, this should be available before thanksgiving.

I have a few other 1/144 ship surprises that will be available much sooner than this... stay tuned for some very exciting developments from our little glass shack.

I won’t take orders until I have one out of the mold. Probably about $50 shipped.

Yubari got some work today. Deck lip installed and clay filled edges. Ready for tooling gel shot. Is sad that Randy didn’t get to see his work finished.

I recall seeing this plug at the last Brouhaha in the hotel 2019 . Randy came in to the room with her and ask if anyone new what ship it was I believe Tyler got close by saying she was Japanese. Of course it was my first battle knowing what I know now I would of ask more questions. I do Remember he was very please with his plug and so was everyone else. it takes a craftsman to build a smaller ship and make it functional. Only to be a fly on the wall for a build session with him

The first hull from this mold will be a gift to Randy’s Widow. We will be laminating in a memorial hull tag for her. Anyone in this community who knew Randy and would like to add a memory of him on a hull tag can send me a small (3” x 1”) signed paper note to her and we would love to plaster the inside of this hull with well wishes for her.

    Pm me for our address

This is a surprise for her, so please don’t spill the beans if you know her.
