How about building 1/48 scale (or larger) PT-Boats &amp; Motor Gun Boats to battle each other?!  All the major combatants of WW2 had the various boats mentioned... Compared to ALL of the &quot;full size&quot; warships, all of the deck detail/super structure is simpler as are the hull shapes, no torp bulges nor barbettes...<br />

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[This may sound like a weird question to a established rule. Why are rams illegal and not in use for ships that wear designed to do so, say a 1890&#039;s ship that had a ram bow as apposed to a 1910 super dreadnought that did not have one.<br />

    Famous example of a ram kill, well almost and by accident: HMS Hawke ramed the HMS Olympic as she passed by and the suction of the larger vessel drew the smaller vessel toward causing a collision. So in that case the ram bow of the warship did what it was...<br />

So in early 1942, the Germans had to get the Scharnhorst, Gneisenau, and Prinz Eugen from Brest, France, to Germany. And the Kreigsmarine decided to have them sail through the English Channel in broad daylight. The three large ships were accompanied by smaller destroyers. The British response was a bunch of planes and some destroyers. So the scenario I propose isn&#039;t excatly accurate, but it is still pretty historically correct...<br />

When your convoy vessel paints a bb with its sharpie, that&#039;s x amount of points. Our range is too short, our mobility too great, and our shore-bound perspective makes maintaining a formation difficult. So, here it is: Two teams start in harbor, except for one capital ship with guns and pump <b>on, </b>but steering and propulsion <b>off.</b><br />
The defenders try to nudge the ship into their harbor, while the attackers try to sink or capture it themselves. Scuttling is possible under normal rules. Saving the ship gives you three times the sink points, capturing it gives you four times. Got it?]]></content:encoded>

      <content:encoded><![CDATA[Incase you didn&#039;t know, island hopping was the strategy employed by the U.S. navy in WWII to gain bases with which to attack Japan. This scenario is very similar.<br />

I&#039;ve figured out that you all know how to make islands with little flip targets, which brings us to our only new invention for this scenario. A double flip target. Basically, whenever it&#039;s shot, a different color target would come up. (Example red is shot and so it flips down as blue flips up. This could also be done with plastic...<br />
