HMS Terror sunk by Bismarck at Maynard Lake, Dartmouth NS - probably summer 1996. Curt Stokes' Bismarck is cruising away.

Terror always sank by capsizing and if the water was deep enough would turn completely upside down and sink by the stern. At first it would remain afloat with about 1" of bow showing. This broke IRCWCC rules so a small hole was drilled in the deck at the tip of the bow to eliminate the air pocket.

The reason for capsizing was the great width of the hull and the need to leave a gap in the wide bulges between the blue foam water channelling and the balsa, the sides being completely penetrable right to the flat bottom due to a draft of only 1". The space was just large enough to allow accumulating water to tip the hull to one side, keeping it away from the pump until the model was close to sinking. If the water was rough a sink was guaranteed.
