HMS Terror in 1996 getting ready for its first or second battle at Maynard Lake, Dartmouth NS. Note the mid-line plexiglass armour in the bow, drilled to decrease weight. The army surplus capsule CO2 system from Swampworks was against the bow armour in a slot in the water channelling. The brass lt. wt. Williams regulator, can be seen ahead of the bilge pump motor.

There were sections of plexiglass armour along the sides, slotted into holders so they could be removed to be replaced. A section can be seen to starboard of the battery (the black object ahead of the aft pair of servos). This was the only model I built with plexiglass decks and armour - the material proved too brittle. All models I built later had fiberglass decks with molded in recesses for 1/8' thick lexan hatches. Lexan is much more flexible than plexiglass and very difficult to break.

Just to starboard of the battery can be seen the horizontal brass pushrod connecting the gun firing servo aft to the clippard MAV-2 valve. The low keel to deck height ot 2" made installation of some items tricky. The pump was taller than 2" so the only place it could be installed was under the deckhouse at the front of the 12-sided barbette.

Terror was fully detailed but within a few years nearly every small detail ws shot off the decks!
