      Bob Pottle's beautiful Prince Albert . This model was armed with a single stern Cannon. It had an unsuccessful battle experience in choppy water and was sunk. The model was retrieved and sold States side.

      The only actual sink was on a trial run at my parent's cottage. The new mini-receiver failed and the model headed toward deep water out of control in choppy conditions, with pump turned off. By the time I got back to the beach with canoe paddles it had sunk a couple of hundred feet offshore. My brother John watched it go under and we swam to the general location. Fortunately the propulsion motors were running and could be heard clearly. The water was clear and we located Prince Robert in about 12' of water.

      It was launched once for a one to one in battle in the last year NABS was active. The after market receiver battery plug had no locating tab for the Futaba receptacle and was plugged in with reversed polarity. Immediately after launch smoke billowed out as the battery wiring melted and a sink was declared. With no club competitions after 2008 it was eventually sold to Brian M. of the OAF.

      I thought it sank at the Grove in Deep Water.

      @CURT

      No it was never actually sunk at the Grove - just a declared sink due to the wiring fire at Cannats 2006. That was the only time it was launched in competition and it took only a few BB hits before being declared sunk.

      The 'unseaworthy' sink in deep water was at my parent's cottage at Washademoak Lake, NB. Fortunately it sank relatively close to shore in only 12' of water.
