Next to MV Pandua (a model built from plans I had since 1974) is my armoured cruiser HMS Minotaur. A few years after this photo was taken she was sunk by Scharnhorst (foreground) in the only Washington Treaty Combat Club battle held in Nova Scotia (Oct. 2008). Minotaur has two sets of props and two pump outlets, the smaller props and smaller pump outlet making the model compliant with WTCC rules. The model can be converted from one set of combat rules to another in a few minutes.

Minotaur battled in the NABS fleet under IRCWCC rules for several years, often teamed up with Rob Helliwell's HMS Black Prince (a Duke of Edinburgh Class armoured cruiser).

Minotaur used a "stretched" version of the same hull used for Black Prince, with BP's aft casemates removed. The fiberglass hull was cut in half amidships and lengthened by 1". Strike Models now has the mold for the BP/Warrior Class ships.
