Yamato hull made by Ralph Coles. The hull I held on for Morgan Miller of the Invincible. Morgan was posted to a ship and was doing extensive Tour of Duty. I think it was a year later that he offered to sell it to me. So I purchased it . The Pic here was 2000 or 2001 in my apartment at the time. The hull was not the most accurate has the bow was curved in the middle of the stem , the stern did not have that small flat depression and the Torpedoe belt at the waterline had less of a pronounce curve. This was done purposely as sheeting the BC hull at the waterline where the bulge meets the waterline was an issue. Ralph also reduced the depth of the hull by a few mm. This hull was very thick but not as thick as his first Yamato hull. Yamato would go on to be my biggest RC cbt ship have a active career as a battling and RC model. It took over as Flagship from Bismarck for Nabs as Bismarck was semi retired being stationed in New Brunswick. The model had a scratch built fiberglass superstructure and secondary armament. BC came out with a full kit. The BC deck and AAA guns I used for the model. I also had Carl Camuratie's AAA gun domes which were detailed as the BC version was bland and a little taller. I used Ralph's Turrets for main and Secondaries. A couple of years ago I replaced those with the Termite Armour main turrets .The main deck is the BC Fiberglass deck. I wish they had not discontinued that and the wonderfully vinly resin superstructure they had made for the kit as I had planned to replace Ralph's or just get Full kit for running and detailing.
