I-401 on its maiden voyage. This is a lean, mean, aircraft-carrying fighting machine, and it's got four forward torpedo tubes and a button on the bow to trigger them with a touch. The only problem? It's too slow, and cannot generate enough downward force with its diving planes to submerge.

Just joined an d have two RC subs. Bow planes are too high. If you plan on just dynamic diving; dive by forward motion, then you are balasted too lightly, get some lead. Then you add foam to the coning tower to keep it up right when making turns underwater. Then get a bigger motor or a battery pack with more cells; more volts equal more rpm's. Better propelloers come from the people in England called the "Prop Shop" http://www.prop-shop.co.uk/

      Hope this helps.
