Have you ever considered a set up with one set of controls for navigation and the other for fire control? Or in other words, 2 crew members would operate the 2 systems, thus allowing one to control maneuvering/navigation while the other handles fire control?

I have not as it is very difficult to get people willing to handle and invest the time into that aspect. If you watch Robot Wars from the U.K. that is basically how the bots are operated with someone driving and someone operating the weapon(s) . However it would take time of practice to coordinate that . If the model was 12 feet long or larger than sure but most radios have more than 6 channels and can programme various things into them for the model to do. For RC combat it would be interesting to see. I think the BigGun fellas tried that at one of their Fair Events but it is not something that is done regularly for RC combat at this scale.

It boils down to this: generally speaking, if you have two people interested, it is better to put them in 2 ships than one.

Makes sense but it was my son's idea so I figured it would be cool to incorporate.
