Great job restoring my old girl Curt! Who was she sold to?

I wish I knew. Shawn duffy was the owner. I restored it and made it operational again. Shawn did not want the decks painted or anything else. If I had owned it I would have dressed it up even further. The only real issue we had other than some rusty components inside was the gears of the rudder. They were no longer meshing very well but it was fine during this trial. In NB the rudder was sticking on me so maneuvering with Steve Crane's Nagato was troublesome but when it did work I had no problem turning inside of him. One of the guns was sticking but all in all the model performed fine. I really wish that at the time I had the funds to buy it from Shawn. I really liked that ship and the history it had within Nabs. The Bridge Tower with all of its portholes and the hangar are my favorite sections of that model. It was sold to a man who worked for an aerospace company in California I believe San Fransisco. I believe he intened to convert to Big Gun. Unfortuntaly from what I understand from Shawn the model arrived 6 weeks later and the model arrived heavily damaged. The hull was semi crushed. It may have been beyond repair. Which is unfortunate that happened. We built the case and reinforced it with thick Styrofoam, peanut Styrofoam popcorn, form cushing bolted down straps ect to ensure it would arrive intact. Would not be surprised if it was thrown off the truck and dropped on the pavement from height for the kind of damage that was done to it. I said to Shawn that I would never ship another model out again. Hull only is one thing but a completed ship, that is another story. Now on that point when Chris sent me my Bismarck it was not packed up so stringently but it did arrive intact.Which I was surprised.
      Go figure.
