And now for something completely useless. A 144 scale tugboat that is only 8.33" long. It can be printed on a 8"x8" printer at a 45 degree angle

The hull prints in one piece, with servo, battery and motor mounts printed in place. Also included is a well to put lithium grease for the stuffing shaft. All parts but the prop are printed with 0.25mm layers.

No supports are needed to print the hull. However, to ensure the hull is water tight, it should be brushed with acetone.

The rudder is printed in two pieces and then is joined together with 1/32" brass wire to form the hinge pivot

The prop is the only part that needs to be printed with support. I printed 4 at a time and a layer height of 0.1mm. 1/32 flex cable is used for the prop shaft. A Scotch yoke arrangement is used to hook up the rudder. It works and is robust, but it only turns the rudder about +- 15 degrees, so I don't expect great turning.

Installation of the motor and rudder servo. The servo is a Hitec HS-50, available for about $10.
