    hey guys,

if im in the wrong place for my build thread please send me to the right place :p
so after following for the past 5 years its time to build my ship, this is just my thoughts and plans before the build starts so if there is any consern with my ideas please dont hesitate to help.
Also if there is any one who has built the ship and is good with the rule book i would love to talk to you. So to start this is general idea i have in mind.

    1 144 scale DKM Bismark.
    - full hull will be made from plywood for frame and bulsa wood for skin. if any one has plans for this i would love a copy:cool:
    - super structure styrine wood foam.
    - guns, 4 turets 2 cannons per turet = 8 bb cannons 360 digree turning radius all 4 turrets will turn at the same time or 2 at a time depending on battle.
    - 1 billege pump due to rules unless its different now.
Question 1 after reading and watching hull construction, just a thought. To better control sinking ship is it ok to have compartments through the hull to isolate water to that area with a small channel running at the bottom of the hull from back to front with a pick up for the pump?? after experaments it pro longs your ship sinking unless there are to menny holls and well i end up beeing Titanic haha

RE: 1 144 scale bizmark project No, water controlling bulkheads are against most club rules.

    But good luck!

RE: 1 144 scale bizmark project hey guys,

so i sat down with a friend at work who is experianced with co2 guns, to help me design my cannons. he thinks i should go electoric over co2 due to being able to save room in the hull. what due u think?? i havent seen anything in the rules yet stateing it had to be co2.

All right, hate to to do it again... 3 things -
Age, location and club you want to battle in.

All other questions can be answered after that. Until that we are guessing.

There are a few good builders in Canada, I don't know which would be closest to you. As far as building it to fit all rules, never happen but it sounds like you are leaning to fast gun so I recommend icrwcc and MWC ruleset (very similiar plus most of the people in Canada are in that ruleset)

    Good luck and welcome aboard!

    hey,

ya i have been studying the ircwcc rules like the bible. just cind of confuseing in some areas. I think the best bet for my is go through the rules in full detail as i build the ship. as for hull designe its pritty straight forward in the rules. so i will start with that. cuz its prity overwelming when going through building cannons and all the plumbing for them, and how menny u have will determan more factors of the rest of build hahah:p

    question
i know mt ship is class 7 and i get 7 1/2 units.
what are units? i read the rules last night again and i still havent been able to clairify it.

For Ircwcc it's class 7 - 7 units. MWC class 6 -6.5 units. Units are a bb cannon or a pump. You may want to reread the rules again and highlight some of the basic components like units.

each gun or pump counts for a unit. Class 7 means you can have 1 pump and 6 guns, 2 pumps and 5 guns, ect.
    class 6.5 means 1 pump, 5guns (one with a 75 round magazine)
each gun is 50 shots, in 6.5 one gun has an extra 25 bb's for a total of 75 shots
    Hope this helps.

Yeah, strike models is one of (if not the best) place tp get your stuff from, its ran by the admins for this forum ;)

Go with CO2/HPA not electric, rc tank airsoft units dont mix with water. You will have to replace them all at a cost of 20-40 dollars per gun after each sink.

one quik question, why not just order the hull with the kit, thats what i did and she looks great and all you have to do is then cut out the windows and put that stuff that i forget the name on it. it would save you a bunch of time (in my opinion)

Yes, most paper plans come with the ribs shown as halves. One side are the forward sections, the other side the after sections. The idea is you make x copies of that piece of the plans, where x is the number of sections, then you fold each at the midpoint and cut along the correct section line. That gives you a full cutout of the rib.

    ok cool makes sence.

as big gun rules state the ribs are to be 10mm thick, how wide are they supost to be?? in my plans they show the middle rib all drawn both halfs and in that rib it is 5/8 wide on both halfs, are all the ribs supost to be that wide or is it to the builders discretion?? Or in the rib blueprints in the mess of lines in it will it have the width of both sides of the ribs

I dont believe there is any spec on rib thicknes, only rib width. Usually 1/8,1/4, or 3/8 depending on your preference for many small ribs ,or few wide ribs
