I'm getting out of 1/144 and focusing on Battlestations in 1/96. So I'm gonna start selling off my 1/144 stuff.
I'm selling my Mark Jenks 1/144 Takao wooden hull kit. It is still unassembled. A few parts are loose, but most are not. I'm also including one of Mark's catapult kits, one of his door packages, and two of his search light kits.
This particular kit is one of Mark's early Takao prototypes. The prototype Takao kit was missing one of the catapult parts, but the included extra catapult kit has all the parts needed.
    I'm asking $75 + shipping.
    Thanks,
    Carl

How old is the kit, is the wood still straight? i looked at Marks list of ships and I guess he's not making the Takao any more?

I have taken great care to store the Takao kit flat to prevent warping. No plywood sheet is perfectly flat, but the two plywood sheets that make up this kit are pretty flat. I got the kit from Mark last summer, so it is less than a year old.

Mark is still making the Takao kit. You can find his current list of hull kits here:
    http://www.jenkse.us/rcengr/Kits.pdf

In the future I'll be selling a 1/144 Baltimore hull made from one of Mark's kits. I got this hull second hand. This bottom of the hull was sheeted once with 1/8" balsa by the original owner, but the epoxy he used to waterproof it had never really cured and it turned to goo in the sun. So I had to rip off the 1/8" balsa sheeting. That was fun -- NOT! This means that the hull is no longer as pretty as one of Mark's kits should be. :( Anyways, I will be gluing spacers onto the ribs and sheeting the bottom with 1/32" aircraft ply before I sell it, but that won't happen until we get some warmer weather.

    Thanks, Mark!

My kit is still unassembled, but that's what it looks like assembled. Mark's kits are beautiful kits, indeed.
