100 years ago tomorrow, the Hochseeflotte and Grand Fleet set sail for the Battle of Jutland. Here is a great video about the battle that, in my opinion, does a better job discussing the battle than any History Channel documentary I've yet seen.

If you guys haven't heard of it, there is a great youtube show called The Great War that has weekly episodes on the events of WW1, as well as specials on individuals, lesser known nations, tactics, politics, and various other areas of interest.

Before Dan Rygasewicz passed away, one of the important things he brought up was the 100 year anniversary of Jutland. He had a 1/72 HMS Supurb that he wanted to run in some sort of special event commemorating that anniversary. It's sad he fell short on being here for that event. I now have his Superb and will one day finish It for him.

It's just a hair over 7 feet and very wide. Almost 14 inches.

I'm surprised my wife hasn't shot me. She did recently ask how many ships I was holding for other members and when I said just one. Ooh; I got the look and the comment "So all of these are yours?" Well, not really, there's three that are my daughters and two my son in law. So most of the 80 plus ships I have are mine. I will try to drag down the Surpurb and post a couple pictures.
