France will field a strong force this coming year, much to the dismay of Allies and Axis alike. Time will tell how effective the French ships will be, but the outlook is very favorable for seeing many Axis/Allied ships underwater. :)

The trusty old Strasbourg will be out there again. She has turned out to be a well-balanced fast-battlecruiser. She was loaned out at almost every event this past year, and was not sunk.
I will more than likely run the Bearn myself, early on, until I work out any bugs. She has a lot of potential as well.
So I will have two Frenchies.

Dateline Ravenna Ohio. Strasbourg sunk! First ship ever sunk in Treaty Combat. Film footage of this event can be found on YouTube.

I have no recollection of the Strasbourg being the first Treaty ship to sink.
I do seem to recall the Strasbourg being scuttled when it became apparent that the Alabama was going to sink too. But that is because the French are very careful to not hurt anyone else's feelings, or humiliate our opponants if we see that we have won the battle.
Seems like the Strasbourg was scuttled just before the Alabama sank, and the Strasbourg's trusty team-mate Invincible held the field of combat when the smoke and steam cleared.
End result was a victory for the battlecruisers, as the Alabama is a class 6 ship, and the Strasbourg is class 4.

Mikey has the right of it. Team battlecruiser won by a score of 1000 to 800. Anything else is simply typical Axis revisionist propaganda.
