Unless I'm mistaken these are machined down Williams regulators which would be illegal in the ircwcc. No modifications can be made to the high pressure side components. Just something to keep in mind.

This is likely a dumb Question but...... Who Machined them down????? If an engineering company bought a bunch of them did the research and than machined them and resold them they would be legal than, Yes??

    These are not home-made modifications.
We have been using these regulators for about 25 years. (NO failures)
Back in the old days, these were cruiser regulators - for obvious reasons
    They have been lab tested.
I used this regulator at NATS this year. (Obviously it had passed )

Who lab tested these? Who milled them? If they came from the factory like that who made them?
I know there has been no failures BUT until they can show documentation technically there illegal according to the rules. Thats all I'm saying.

I guess I would be interested in the Boards decision.

If I remember right, Steve Millholland and James Foster got a hold of the vendor and got the schematics for the regulators and worked with the vendor to the determine the safe wall thickness for our applications. They then had a machine shop turn them down. It was all done above board with cooperation from the vendor. Unfortunately Steve has passed and James is not involved in the hobby due to health reasons. So any documentation is lost.
