hello, my name is Heiko and some of you guys know me and SuZ from some local battles in Atlanta and Statesboro and Rosenberg... originally I'm from Germany, south part and since I was a kid and listened to the WW2 marine stories of my grandparents old, old neighbor and inherited all the ships literature that he collected in his life, I'm fascinated of war ships.... especially the German ones.. 2013 i had the first opportunity to battle a Northhampton class cruiser in Statesboro and from that point i wanted to be a part of the game and with a lot of help from Lou and John i finally finished 2014 a narvik class destroyer Z23 SuZ... (not the best boat for a beginner),,, but after a lot of sinks and finally getting the boat floating and sealed, it is meanwhile a big fun boat despite being the smallest unit... Why we call it SuZ?? at the beginning the boat made a lot of water and was within minutes under water... a Submerged Z- boat... end of summer 2014 i bought a DKM Deutschland class "pocket battleship" that hopefully will make it on the water by the mid of the year. Lou, John and I will post reports from the building and battling of the boat and i will also ask some -sometimes stupid- questions.
Heiko is great fun lakeside, and his lovely wife takes lots of photos... she took my favorite pic at a battle last year when a dragonfly landed on the end of my reloading tube...
