I plan to host a build session for all formats on Sunday June 22,
starting at 9am, and lasting into the evening.
All formats are welcome to attend.
I would like to also have a captain's meeting for both the
Midwest battle Group, and also Battlestations, so that we can get
some sort of battle schedule put together for the two groups, take photos of the captains, and their ships, and such.
My boatshop is approx. 20 miles north, and west of Dayton, Ohio.
It is possible that I might be able to get the use of the local battle site if there is enough interest in putting ships on the water.

It looks like there may be quite a few new captains attending the
get-together, so I would like to turn this into a swap-meet of sorts,
also. So if anyone has any stuff for sale or trade, please bring it,
as it may give someone that is just getting started a jump-start on
    their project.
    Thanks.

The all day all format build session/swap meet..
    10555 Dayton-Greenville Pike
    Brookville, Ohio.
    45309
    My cell is (937)-620-6053
Starts around 9am, lasts all day.

    From I-70
Go to exit 24 which will put you on Rt 49 going north.
Go approx. 4 miles to the city limits of Phillipsburg.
There will be a smallish hamburger/icecream joint on the right.
I am directly across the street on the left.
    Large 3-bay white garage/barn.

Looks like there will be 10-15 captains attending throughout the day.
Will probably be several boats for sale (both small-gun, and big-gun), as well as fiberglass hulls, and
    possibly wooden hulls.

I also have a local hobby shop, and Clippard dealer, so if anyone needs anything that they are having trouble finding, just let me know in advance, and I will try to pick the stuff up.

Looks like low 80s with a chance of rain, so we will probably not be going to the pond during the day, but we will have lots of combat videos playing from both small-gun, and big-gun.

    Mikey,
Are you going to do a write-up on how the build session went? Any pictures?

Whats the scoop Mikey, we had a build session here in Orlando at Rick's also on the 22nd. We had Don, Rick, Marc, Heidi, Lief, DW Fluegel flew in from Dallas, and myself. We had a great time.

I have to admit that not alot got done, resheeting and gun testing for the upcoming Nats, alot of talking about past Nats, and how much everyone was looking forward to next month. So far we have 46 signed up, with about 60 ships scheduled to show up. Should be fun.

Nats sounds like it could be a real hoot! I have not seen Fluegel in years.

There are 50 people scheduled to be at the MWC NATS in MN. With about 70 ships, counting all the convoys & 2nd ships for campain. Some people don't like to sign up on-line.

We had our all-format build-session/ captain's meeting this past Sunday.
Turn-out was pretty good with the following captains in attendance.

    Captain club (s) ship (s)

    Mikey (host) Treaty Renown, Strasbourg
    MBG Bearn, LeTerrible
    Battlestations Strasbourg, Mogador

Phil A. Treaty Suffren, Newport News
    MBG Richelieu, Bearn
    Battlestations Tashkent, Emile Bertin

    Eric N. Treaty Markgraf

Steve V. MBG KGV, Victoria, G-3

    Bat Treaty Dunkerque, Richelieu
    MBG TBD (Richelieu)?
    Battlestations TBD (Richelieu)?

    Lee D. MBG Jap DD
    Battlestations Mogami (?)
    BBS Yamato, Dunkerque, Mogami

Several other captains showed an interest in attending, but couldn't make it.

We worked on the boats some, and discussed R/C warship combat in our region,
based on who was battling with each of the various clubs.
A good time was had by all, as it was for the most part a boat day.
I will break-down the stuff that we discussed in the areas for each club.

Wow, Lee is doing MBG too?

I knew he did Treaty and BBs, and was trying to start up in Battlestations... that boy sure does keep himself busy!
