Welcome! Ill go ahead and ask some of the questions that all these RC vets on here will ask.
Have you decided what format your going to use?
have you contacted any skippers in your local area to decide on a club?
right now here in SoCal there is a very active fast gun club named SCRAP good bunch of guys there and a Big gun club we are trying to get going. So you will have either option. I do not think there are any Treaty groups in SoCal but I could be mistaken.

The People on here know what they are talking about and are always willing to give advise so just ask away and they will be able to answer it.

    Cheers,
    Jon

Welcome aboard. Good luck with your first warship. I look forward to seeing your future builds.
