I just received my battery and was wanting to know, are you supposed to waterproof batteries? If so, how do I go about doing that? And what would be a good charging rate for a 10 amp battery? Thanks:D!!!

Some batteries don't care about water, other batteries will violently explode. I don't know the specifics for your battery, but in general a liberal coating of Skotchkote can help.

Those will not explode when wet. You should cut off the heat shrink and coat the top and bottom, sides too, with skotchcoat. It keeps the tabs that connect the batteries from rusting. After coating put some heat shrink back on them.
