Hey guys, While we've gotten an idea of the happenings at the MWC Nats I have not heard anything about the BBS battle this weekend. Is there any battle report? Any pictures? Thanks,
Due to the smaller number of members able to make it this weekend, and in preparation for our micro-nats next month, we decided to make this weekend a shakedown meet, making sure everyone's ships are up to snuff and ready to engage hostile forces next month. I was not in attendance, so I don't know what all happened.
I guess they did actually do a little bit of a skirmish... Here is what Buddy posted on our site: Ok for news now Don, Lee and I met at the pond and Don got a great buy of a fill station at a yard sale! Lee used the french bc and Don had his NC and I had my SD. WE also had some new members of thew Coon Hunters club check us out. Lee wanted it to be him against us so we went at it, we shot each other up pretty good and made a nice show with our pumps going off. The 2nd outting we sot it up some more and I realized that the SD was not pumping like it should, hmm this doesnt look good, I look over and the Stras is not doing good either after our exchange of gun fire, I look back and the bow is starting to go under and she has taken a list to the right side and the pump is dribbleing ut oh! And about that time I hear Don say that Lee is going down.But it is too late for the SD has rested her bow on the bottom right next to the edge. Shortly after the Stras is doing a swan dive of its own and Lee is racing because he didnt put the lid on the box! I had a pump plug up and I had removed the extra screen made from fish tank filter and didnt put another in , boy I paid for that! Our next outing after saw the same sides but I had aco2 line come lose and freeze everything up so mainly Don and Lee hammered it out. Both exchanged good shots but the NC was settleing His pump came on and I thought he was holding his own untill he went in a hard right turn and boy did she list! Ut oh Don I think your going swimming! Lee backed off and Don stopped for a moment and she pumped out ,they started in again and He was forced in a hard turn and away went the list again . Don it dont look good! The NC hung in there but it finally couldnt keep up and down she went. All in all we had a good day every body got to sink once!! Sunday we worked in the basement on boats and Greg got to join us so we have some new parts and got to pick on Greg for a while.Good news I talked to the new guy in columbus and he is coming by Monday to talk and see some of what I have and try to catchup on the ships and stuff.
