Hi, can someone pin a good tutorial to build a cheap big gun setup? I’ve been having trouble looking around for one and don’t want to purchase and expensive kit. Thanks!
Julian just PM me with your contact info and I will forward it to your local SF Bay Area Big Gun group. They will be able to help you with your questions and point you in the right direction.
Agreed, get in contact with your local club. They can provide much more relevant help than I can. While there are no commercial manufacturers of Big Gun cannons, you may find some used cannons by asking around at the WWCC. Once you learn how the mechanism works, you may be able to 3d-print your own.
This is the only thing I remember. http://ntxbg.org/resources/construction-articles/ Also check out the WWCC site. http://www.westernwarshipcombat.com/
Didn't Strike Models have copies of some early big gun plans? Since it is a "plan" it might still be available through them.
Hey guys I’m literally brand new to the sport and I’m not affiliated with any particular club yet but I’m actively pursuing I’m from north Alabama and I’ve pretty much built a South Dakota class battleship drive system and have everything ready except for the quarter-inch ball bearing cannons and I’m wondering if there’s a good prebuilt setup I can buy I have enough space to do up to 3 turrets if I’m successful enough I’m wanting to get a few youth organizations involved that I’m associated with to build interest in my area... any info is appreciated
Afraid not but that is something I plan on getting in the Next year or so after I expand my shop that’s why I was wondering if someone within the clubs had a standard pre made system ( that they have made many of ) that they sell To other members I’m not wanting to stay in a cookie-cutter type set up in the long run but I would like to be able to test and get a feel for what I am doing with something that is more standardize
