I'm looking for 1-2 skippers to test the new Big Gun USS Texas Super Dreadnought. - If you are interested; please reply or PM me. From Wiki: The New York class was a pair of super-dreadnought battleships built for the United States Navy between 1911 and 1914. The two ships of the class, New York and Texas, saw extensive service beginning in the occupation of Veracruz, World War I, and World War II. Designed as a more heavily armed improvement over the previous Wyoming class, the New York class was the first battleship to feature the 14-inch (356 mm)/45 caliber gun and the first American super-dreadnought, but was one of the last battleship classes designed with a five-turret layout and coal for fuel. --- These USS Texas Big Gun ships are vastly easier to build than any previous generation Big Gun ship. These ships are based around the new plastic Big Gun cannon platform which has seen success on other NTXBG ships. Warship specifications: - All 5x functional 7/32" cannons. - Targeting computer ready, direct drive turret rotation. - Twin Pumps (Category 2 water flow). - Geared Rudder system. What is included in the Alpha: - The STLs for the USS Texas warship to print as many times as you want. - Assembly instructions and a Bill of Materials for all the parts required. - The right to print and sell these ships to attract new captains for your Combat Club. What do I want in return? - I want you to commit to building the ship. - Video(s) of your ship on the water; and a build thread on this forum. - Periodic video call with me for feedback, improvements, and findings. Limitations: - These ships are for use with Big Gun combat rules. - This alpha trial is only available for current or former Big Gun captains. - The rotating 7/32" cannons, internal configuration, penetrable areas, and twin pumps are not IRCWCC legal. Tools / Skills: - 3D printer capable of ABS (ideally Bambu Labs) - Comfortable with using Acetone. - Basic wiring skills. - Screwdriver(s) and Plier(s). - Multiple small clamps to glue the hull. - Exacto knife/snips (or Dremel). Risk: - USS Texas is brand new; however she is based on the existing reference designs in use by the Tiger and Deutschland class ships. It is likely that some hulls segments will need reprinted based on your findings. My assembly instructions will minimize the amount of waste. This the HMS Tiger, which uses the same internal configuration as the USS Texas design:
