I'm looking for 2-3 skippers to test our new Big Gun Victory class cargo ships. - If you are interested; please reply or PM me. From Wiki: The Victory ship was a class of cargo ship produced in large numbers by American shipyards during World War II to replace losses caused by German submarines. They were a more modern design compared to the earlier Liberty ship, were slightly larger and had more powerful steam turbine engines, giving higher speed to allow participation in high-speed convoys and make them more difficult targets for German U-boats. A total of 531 Victory ships were built in between 1944 and 1946. --- These Big Gun Victory ships are very quick and cheap to build, just like the original ships. NTXBG now has 5x of these ships built and operating. Assembly of your first ship should take you roughly 6 hours. The model is a complete kit with all running gear laid out precisely. What is included in the Beta: - The STLs for the Victory ship to print as many times as you want. - Assembly instructions and a Bill of Materials for all the parts required. - The right to print and sell these ships to attract new captains for your Combat Club. What do I want in return? - I want video(s) of your ship on the water; and a build thread on this forum. - I want your feedback to make future ships better. - I want more Big Gun combat clubs! Limitations: - These ships are for use with Big Gun combat rules. - The penetrable areas, prop, rudder, and pump are not IRCWCC legal. - I fully support SJS and Will; therefore I am not willing to modify them for Fast Gun. Costs: - Roughly $30 in plastic depending on print settings. - Roughly $100 in parts from Amazon (if you need to buy everything) - A 2-3 channel radio - Balsa/etc Tools / Skills: - 3D printer capable of ABS or PETG (ideally Bambu Labs) - Basic wiring skills. - Screwdriver(s) and Plier(s). - Multiple small clamps to glue the hull. - Exacto knife/snips (or Dremel). Risk: - NTXBG has 5x of these ships operational; there is low risk of rework required due to design flaws. Photos of the second Victory ship on the water:
