hey guys here is me and my fathers build...
here is my layout with new rib locations 10 mm ribs 76 mm apart. as you can see in the pic the new ribs ar in different spots then where the kit puts them lol. This made things a little difficult but this is what i came up with. drew up the new ribs on the rib template. there are 2 ribs on the original rib template not used to make up the new ribs. with any luck my drawn ribs will be good haha

What scale are you building to? That looks like it might be less than 63 inches.

    Yeah Lloyd,
Bismarck is supposed to be 68 2/3 inches long by 9 5/6 inches at the beam.
Is that a 30 cm ruler on the stern of the plans?
It might just be a trick of the picture but it looks smaller than it should.

    Good,
It would suck to build a ship and THEN find out it is in the wrong scale!!

Post some pictures of the marks in question, we might be able to help. Some of the guys here have been staring at plans for 30+ years now I think.

Also, if you are still having trouble, I've got a copy of the anatomy of the ship series on the bizmarck and some detailed german plans drafted in ~1990 I think (I don't read german) that may help clarify what is going on.

That pic can you take a seperate picture of it but closer so we can see what it is your referring to exactly? I can't see the plan detail from that one pic you have already posted . Is it the pic with the plan on the table and on the wall? , if so take a closer pic of the plan on the wall.

Those are just identifications of the sections using numbers and letters to identify the different sections. Usually the letters indicate the Frame and the numbers identify the rib. I believe the sections or frames are lettered followed by the number of the rib. A frame rib 1 A frame Rib 12 . I think it's something like that. Don't worry about what it means just know that it clearly marks a section'
