    Hello,
My name is Josh and myself and some of my work buddies found a you tube video with a couple of these battles that you all do. We are actually very interested in getting more inormation. We are wondering if there is someone that we can speak to and ask some general questions answered and get some infomation on how all of this works. We would like to maybe come out and watch a couple of these battles as well so we know what we are etting into.
Before we jump into this full force and start spending alot of money we would love to see if this is something we would actually fully enjoy. Can any on help us?
The first question would be where would we look to by epuipement for our ships? We would like to start by seeing the price of everything.

    Hi, Braman! Welcome aboard!
The sites Absolutek posted are some great places to get hulls and complete kits. A good source for electronics is Hobby King. One thing you'll need to figure out is what format you'll want to play. Big Gun, Fast Gun, Treaty, Battlestations!, are some of the choices. Also, will you want to play with other battlers around you. ( if there are any??)
A general cruiser will usually be under $500. Most take about $350 if you do everything right the first time. :) Battleships can be from $600 to over a thousand dollars.

If you have any more questions, ask them. There are lots of great people on here that love to help people starting out. :)

Before you go buy stuff, let me recommend that you go find a local club and look around a little at the stuff, the battles, ect... This time of the year, most local clubs and captains are having build sessions at least once a month...

First thing would be to tell us where you are located so we can point you in the right direction...

There is no better way to find out about the hobby than to actually speak to somebody and see the boats first hand.

    BTW, welcome to the hobby...

I was asking him, because it says Michigan, doesn't mean he's in Michigan.... A lot of us are service members and have our home towns listed, but actually live elsewhere...

You're right, some people really should consider updating their location so that prospects using the captain finder get accurate info about people in their area.
