hey guy I've been wanting to get into the hobby for some time. Hopefully I'll get around to buying a used boat or build one soon. I live in Georgia. If you guys have any advice to pass along that would be great

Hi Casey! I'm also in Georgia, and if you can make it to a build session in Statesboro, we can help! There are a few hulls laying around, plans for many more, and we also have loaner boats to use while you build your own. Where are you at?

Welcome! You're in a great spot really, within a few hours of @Tugboat @VVaholic and the SAS events.

Hi Casey, there are a group of us in Atlanta. We will have battling starting in March timeframe, these are small non sanctioned events used to get the cobwebs out of ships or test brand new ships. Events are usually 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, we hope to have some loaner boats later this year.
What ship were you looking at building?

Northampton is a great ship, there is a good kit on strike models website that includes superstructure. Let me know if you have any questions, we can arrange a build session once you get a hull/kit.
