You can ask google. "3inches to mm" or "88mm to inches" for example.

Divide mm by 25.4 to get inches
40mm = 1.57"
Multiply inches by 25.4 to get mm
7.99" = 203mm

roughly

PROTOTYPE SHELL SIZE

BALL BEARING SIZE

MAXIMUM RATE OF FIRE
76.2mm to 202.99mm

BB (4.5mm)

once every 4 seconds
203.00mm to 279.10mm

3/16" (4.763mm)

once every 4 seconds
279.11mm to 380.75mm

7/32" (5.56mm)

once every 6 seconds
380.76mm +

1/4" (6.35mm)

once every 8 seconds
Torpedoes (all)

Optional (max 1/4")

once every 30 seconds

Note: According to Kotori's chart, big-gun treats 380mm as 15" and thus 1/4" shot even though 380mm actually comes up a mm shy of 15". I opted to not reflect that in my table since I was just doing a quick set of conversions.

There is an excellent metric comversion site, World Wide Metric, that has almost any conversion you may require. The only one I know that it doesn't have that I need from time to time is to and from Imperial Gallons. I useit all the time.
