Here's some pictures of me wip, gearing is done, just needs some paint, Nassau is waiting for drive system, and Emile Bertin is kinda a free time sponge for me.
Your superstructure on the Nassau is backwards. the forward superstructure piece has the funnel. they are correct relative to each other, but reversed as a whole assembly on the hull. So if you kept them in the exact spots as in the picture, you would need to spin the hull around 180. I hope that makes sense.
Gearing is done ready for her maiden voyage, not the greatest job with the silkspan, but it should do.
Took the gearing out today, I had been working on small things for so long forgot how fast she is and how well it turns. Also how do I add videos?
View: https://youtu.be/o7qExPF1P1k Aight here it goes, dips quite a bit but no water inside so should be a-ok Edit: Not really dips but rocks side to side when turning.
1. check speed in a larger pond when you get a chance. she actually looks a bit slow. 2. check the weight. She needs some low ballasting I suspect. that will decrease the roll somewhat. 3. I miss my nice pool for tests like that. sigh.
Yea, I was keeping her slower so I didn't smash into anything, and I'll get some more weight into there and I have a river in my backyard but it's brakish water( sudo saltwater). But when I get a chance to go to a nice fresh water lake.
