I was wondering what would be the best way to get my Des Moines plug cut down to the right height. I've gotten the measurements from Bob H. and I used my Dremel to cut it down close to the lines. What tool or way would be best to get it done and done right?

Dremel is the way to go.

I was able to sand down my U.S.S. Des Moines hull yesterday using a belt/disc sander and I have a couple of spots in the hull that I think I went alittle to deep with the sander. Can these "accidents" be fixed?

Will try to post pictures later today when I'm off of work.

Dents and such can be filled with spackling and sanded back into shape. :)

Id say put down a Tape line to follow and use a sander to take off the top edge. its slow but little error for taking off too mutch too fast. and have a good line of sight to see the tape line to know when to stop.
