Fooling around with a linear bearing concept. Could there be an industrial strength 3D printer in Tyngtech's future?

Further adventures with linear slide ideas.

Picked up some v-groove bearings. Much smoother and stiffer than the previous skate bearing setup. These bearings, a length of steel angle, and some plywood is almost as smooth and stiff as the industrial slides I used in a big CNC router I built several years ago.

Testing a table edge mounting. Would have to fiddle with some angles to mount a gantry to this but no big deal.

One of my previous tenants was kind enough to leave this Ikea beauty when they moved out. About the right size for a 2' x 4' router.
