In a pinch, a click pen spring cut in half can work.

I ordered part number 1986k66 from McMaster-Carr along with other parts. I was hoping I would not have to order blind. Never though a spring number would be such a close held secret.:(
The barilium spring from small parts is no longer available.

I'd tell you if I knew :/ Once I had a photo with the relevant specs from a pack, but I seem to have mislaid it.

The small parts spring is the one that has always been referenced.
    smallparts.com beryllium spring CS-53
AmazonSupply.com does not carry that spring. I have one left from a previous order. I will report back on the McMaster spring that I ordered.

I'm getting ready to order springs. I have them custom done and get a batch of 300 done for about $100. So, if any of you want some let me know. These will work for the tight cap, short interrupter cannon setup like Mike Mangus and I use.

I received the McMaster springs 1986K66. .020 SS wire. They are considerably stronger than the one piece of the Small parts spring that I had left. Short piece is Small Parts spring. I do not think that they will be suitable for our use.
