Off Market Free Curbside lathe... Gone

    Found lathe on curb. Craftsman 3/4hp. Motor makes iffy sounds when spun by hand. Spins smooth though. I think it is probably more trouble than it is worth. Will stick in garage for someone else to retrieve if so desired. Located in San Diego, CA.

    Funny thing is that the old ones have good cast iron ways, and the motor can probably be rehabbed with a pair of new bearings. Get one of the E-Div guys to megger it to see if the windings are good :)

    Heavy/robust it was. However, it is gone now.
