As usual, amazing work. I really am going to have to pick up one of your kits some day. That looks laser cut, so is this one of those kits??? ;)

The ship is the French transport "Golo". I'm putting together kits for RichelieuBB to take to nationals as convoy ships, so he has dibs on the first run. This the first prototype, I need to make a few changes and run another prototype before they will be ready.
    Specifications:
    · Launched 1933
    · 2152 tons standard
    · 1300 tons cargo
    · 294'6" x 44'6" x 15'9" OA
    · Two shafts, 1850 BHP diesels
    · 12.5 knots
    · Two 75 mm
    · Two 37 mm AA

Mod Note: Mark, what do you keeps doing that keeps posting a giant textarea field and covering the page with it?
I have no idea. I post as normal, then try to pull up the thread and get a blank screen. It's the same whether I use my PC or my Android. Maybe there is some configuration problem with the thread and it just needs to be deleted and started over.

Had a little convoy action today. Golo Mk1 and Mk2 on the water for the first time, with the Roanoke on escort duty.

The Golo doesn't quite turn in its own length, but it pretty maneuverable nonetheless. In this video it was still a little fast, about 32 sec/100 ft, so it has slightly more power than it should.

RE: French Target I'm scratch building a Golo (not one of these kits -- are they available?)

What's a good motor choice for something this size? I'd like to go brushless...
