Hey all, Been lurking for a few days. kinda rekindled my fire for warships. Ii thought about getting into RC warship combat a few years back. but life got in the way. that an other serious hobby efforts put the bash on a build. I collected serveral plans form varoius sorces in my collection of plans I have HMS tiger, USS Astoria, USS Arizona/Penn, Nevada class BB im leaning torwards the USS Astoria CA 34 New Orleans class Heavy Cruiser as a starter ship. any help or ideas on this ship would be welcomed looking around it seems i have a few clubs within a few hours drive as im right on I-84 near Tri cites WA. If i had to i can attempt the Washington cascade coulmn. but it is a drive for a one day event and then back. would be interested in the tri cites group is they still get togther? anyways. this is a great site for the hobby, Im glad there is some unity here. in the other hobbys I'm in there is so much out there (model railroad) that you have to join 20 web groups. this is a nice site and the owners should be very proud. as for now I'll keep reading the threads , and plan my ship build thanks Jason
No tri-cities group left. I moved away, Justin dropped out when I moved away. When there are folks coming from the east side of the state some battles are held in cle elum which isn't too bad a drive. He may still have the Tirpitz which while a bit of a hard ship to get going for a new fellow, he might at least let you look at its guts. I don't know if he intends it to simply gather dust or not I'm moving to the wet side this week, there are a good group of people there. -Greg
Greetings, and welcome aboard Unfortunately as Greg says, we over the the WCC are the closest active group that I am aware of for your location. You are of course welcome to join us. We play a slight variant of IRCWCC rules which I really need to post on our website. We usually figure out our battling schedule for the year around Feb or March.
