Any Ideas on placement of the guns for a 5 unit battleship...i.e. Konig ? ~ (Fast gun / IRCWCC)

I've seen dual sterns w/ a single on each side quadrant. But why? OK, so dual bow mounts would probably shoot too high, but what if you mounted the dual bow guns in the second(higher) turret that might allow for more of a downward angle?

Next question: the slow speed would suggest this is a hug & slug ship. ~ Is this right? What angles would the side mounts be at to optimize the ship's offensive nature?

    Thanks for your help.

I like the dual sterns with the P&S sidemounts. I'd mount them as far to the stern as possible since most fast battleships will be overtaking you from the rear, vice you overtaking them.

If you wanted to put dual bow guns in the Bruno turret (the second one back from the bow), I don't think it'd be too crazy. IT would shoot further out, regardless, but bows and sterns don't usually do belows in any case... more for sniping or general use until you get your sidemounts into play.

You can mount them in the bow if you want, most people mount them in the stern cause it swings around faster to aim at a target. It's proven and it works. Angle your side guns to get the most down angle (20'in IRCWCC)
so when you hug and slug, you are scoring belows. Most bigger boats will shoot over you when you are touching their side and you will be making holes.

With dual sterns, what angles would you mount the sides?

Angles as in relationship to the long. direction of the ship, not the angle up/down.

    thanks again.

That again is a matter of choice, I angle mine towards the front so I can turn into the opposing ship and then turn away with sterns firing. If I am not lined up perfectly straight, their guns are also not lined up. Maybe 45' or so

You could place a gun in each stern turret at 15 degrees to ethier side of the stern centerline and one gun in each side arc to defend the most area. The only arc which has no cannons in it would be the bow arc.

I am going to try something a bit different on my Konig. Dual Bow and then a pair of rotate stern hay Makers

Very interesting idea, im sure no one else will copy you though. We all know how dangerous bow guns are And i dont think the Konig can out run anything with 5 holes in the bow. Be very, very careful.
