Hello from Eugene Oregon

    My son and I are new to this hobby and cannot seem to find any clubs in our area. I would like to purchase a used cruiser if possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

    Welcome to the site, and the hobby.
    I am not that familiar with the clubs out your way, so I will let the others help you with that.
    There is a locator in the getting started tab (I think). And a for sale area, where you might find the used cruiser.

    Just looked at the locator.
    Looks like there is (or was) folks in Reedsport, and Portland.So there may already be folks building boats not too far away from you.
    On the other hand. If there isn't a club close enough to you, then you can always start one.

    Just saw that the Washington Cascade Column lists Oregon, and mentioned Portland in particular.

    WCC has a battle in Tacoma scheduled for 11:30am Sunday... I'd put it at about four hours from Eugene. Come watch! I am trying to get another ship ready so there is a spare.
    There is talk of a pond in the Portland area and I have talked to a couple of folks in that area. I'm in Olympia so that is only a couple of hours drive for me.
