The MWC club Port Polar Bear is the most active group in the midwest. We battle once a month, typicaly in Chanhassen, MN. We get 10 or so ships at every battle. Next battle is 8-24-08. We have a couple guys in the Lacrosse area and one in centeral WI. Where are you from?
I would recommend the Port Polar Bear folks. I went to one of their events while I was in grad school and had a blast getting sunk (I was using a loaner ship at the time) Great people. -Greg

I really admire the biggun clubs, even though they are costly, however I have an idea that must go through research and development that will revolutionize the hobby (hopefully), mostly by making affordable, not that much more expensive than fast gun (while funding my fleet). I hope to come out with it within a year or two, that’s the reason for my hordes of new topics all over the place.
Hmm... cost doesn't always equal effectiveness... and with convoy ships able to be armed with fast gun cannon... you can have fun while saving up for a yamato with everything armed, cherry red paint and pinstripes too There is also the arizona cannon design, which gets you shooting without a full machine shop Ya might wanna join the email list found on rcwarships.org Mike
what another cannon design, oh great, what is the basis, that the arizona cannon works on, what is the emaillist about? MY plan just increases efficency of certain parts of a ship so the cost alot less
