    Hello,
I figured rather than snoopiong around and looking at other poeples work I might as well just start posting questions and pictures of what i'm working on.
I'm currently building the ship from this post, http://rcnavalcombat.com/Forum/tabi...fault.aspx but i'm building it at 1/48 scale. If anyone has any suggestions on a lowcost motor for this ship i'm open to suggestions.
    See you on the water

Probably the cheapest motor for a ship that size would be one out of a 12v cordless drill. Plenty of torque, but not too efficient.

Battler's Connection and Strike Models both have some good motors. Other than that, try stopping by your local electronics surplus store and see what they carry.

    Hi Buddy.

Copy and save? (You may need to press "Shift+Print screen" then paste in a graphics program.)

I have noticed that when I copy plans from the internet, they need a lot of work.
Converting them to 144 scale has caused me some heart aches.

It would be best if you purchase a good set of plans.
Read some of the comments under ship plans.
Several names are listed who to contact for a good set of plans.

    Welcome and good luck.

Converting to 1/144 is actually very easy assuming you have a half decent image manipulation program like GIMP (I'm sure there are a number of people on these forums who could help with this process). Of course printing it out on standard 8.5x11 and tiling it together is a bit of a pain.
