I'm very confused on where to get a good ship, and if I should purchase an old one or make one from scrach? Most of them are very pricy. I'm leaning on building one because it sounds fun, but if that's not the way to go please tell me! Thank's!! :D

Welcome Aboard! I'm not nearly as knowledgeable as others here, so I'll be brief:
    - You should probably go to the "Introductions" section of the forum, and introduce yourself their, but it's fine if you don't.
    - You might want to look to see if there are any member/clubs in your area.
    - Building or buying is a personal choice, but I know most here consider building an important and fun part of our hobby
    - It's not going to be too cheap either way, but I know Tugboat has written about building affordable ships, search "Edgar Quintet"
    - Finaly, much of this is dependant on which ruleset you choose. Do you know which one you prefer yet?

    Good Luck, and Have Fun,
    -Joe

Probably the first question to answer would be Where are you located? Then, what sort of groups\rulesets build and battle near you. It is best to hang out with others for a few builld and or Battle sessions to see what they are doing and so they can answer your questions. As far as what to build you cannot go wrong with building any of the ships from BattlersConnection or Strike. Some boats are harder than others due to size and or difficult curves and what not but it is really up to your skill as a modeler, mechanic, electronics technichian and plumber. If you have good basic skills anything is possible.

Best Advice, read this forum and find someone near that can help you get on the water. Once you see a ship (and take lots of pictures), it will help you choose your ship and what you want to invest (time and money).

Yes, finding someone nearby will make your life so much easier. Baring that look a round and ask questions. Most every kind of ship has been built by someone on this site.

Don't buy a ship. The best are hardly ever for sale and you'll spend lots of time correcting someone else's problems.

    Banzai!!
