Hello everyone, after many years I am back to Big Gun! My name is Gabriel Peterman, if there are any older members of the Midwest Battle Group lurking around here you may remember me, from back when we used to battle on Jason Annon's pond in Indiana. I moved to New Mexico, and ended up mothballing or getting rid of almost my entire fleet. At one Time I had the HMS Warspite, the HMS Vanguard, HMS Furious, HMS Cowee 2, and a few other projects. Now All that is left is the Warspite, the Furious and the Cowee I abandoned Big gun back in 2003 due to work, kids, and other projects that took more time ( 1942 M6 tank destroyer restoration). A few months ago my son who is now 11 pulled down the HMS Furious, and started asking questions, which started turning gears in the dusty recess of my mind......... Now I am deployed with the US Army for the next foreseeable future, with lots of time on my hands and nothing at all to do. Saw a piece of plywood yesterday, and saw someone driving their RC truck around the hootches, and a thought hit me, Build a Ship!
Your name rings a bell. I was a Senior in high school then. I was down with the North Texas Battle Group crowd. Jason Annen's USS Missouri has a home down in Texas with a friend. I took a break too from when I joined the Navy (Mar '05) till Feb '10. Wish I had kept my FNS Dunkerque
No battling in New Mexico, cant seem to get the desert folk interested in naval operations however two fo my kids are getting old enough to run a simple warship, with another one probably ready for transport duty. As ashamed as I am to admit it non of my ships have seen water for probably 7 years, got into civil war and ww2 reeancting so that dominated my time.
