    Hello there!
I have viewed RC Navel Combat websites on and off for the last 7 years, and have finally decided to jump in and get a model. I know very litle about modeling but am interested in getting started.
Hope to get to know you all a little better!

Welcome to the hobby, and the site.
Are you interested in any particular ship or nationality yet?

I've been talking to the guy from Strike Models about getting a USS Brooklyn. From reading on the site it appears to be a decent model for beginners, but not knowing much else I'd appriciate any advice. Of course I've read on this site that's like asking about politics and religions!

I'm still not sure about any other parts and am in no way shape or form ready to build my own model without a kit. I am a true novice. I figured I'd start with a kit and work my way through the other parts.
