This will be my build thread for the other half of the Limy portion of the Denmark Straits combatants. Today I extrapolated the quantity of ribs for 3/8" wide on the strike face. I had wanted to pose a question in regards to armament, that by the time the ships frame was begun, I would have a game plan laid out.
    Option a
arm all three turrets with dual 7/32" Cannons and atempt to fire A and Y turret at twice the normal rate to simulate quads of proper caliber
    option b
arm all three turrets with 1/4" quads (b turret with outer two barrels plugged), and atempt to fire the 7/32" ammo.
    option c
build 8x 7/32" arizona style guns, fix a turret to one side of ship, with y fixed opposite, and a rotating twin 7/32" in b turret.
the first two choices I had thought of utilizing the same diameter magazine guns, to try and ease the task of synchranizing a turret with b turret.
    any thoughts?

I like B. Wouldn't it be easy enough to buy the right size of tubing to fit a 7/32" I.D. barrel to a 1/4" gun (i.e. sleeve it to fit at the breech)?

I think it would be somewhat possible. I know Mikey and Dustin have tried to get a set of quads in the Strasbourg to fire the 7/32. The ones in the ship now seem to be fairing better than the other sets of 1/4" quads. I haven't attempted to sleeve the risers out of the magazines but perhaps with some help it could be done.

Sleeving the risers does work. Seen it. Done it. I highly recommend right sized barrels as well. If worse comes to worse. Buy some cerrobend and bend your own.

The ribs have been cut out for the POW, I am using the inner radius wast of the ribs as stock for a 1/144 Sovetskii soyuz project, the Subdeck has been cut out. I have another project that is being built along side the POW in Battlestations, alls I can say is the British are rolling in heavy next year....

You have good hull lines for a Sovetski Soyuz?! I have yet to be able to find them. Can you point me in the right direction?

In 1/96 scale, you might have enough room to rotate a four-barrel MJV cannon. That is a possibility worth investigating. Regardless, I would suggest you consider option D: arm A turret and C turret with quads, and leave the B turret as a dummy. The dummy turret can be used as a recovery float, carry a camera, or just be a decoration. But the added firepower of one twin turret is insignificant next to two good quads, and you'd get a simpler and more reliable ship with only the quads.

Option A wouldn't allow enough time for the accumulator to refill. I say B or Kotori's suggestion.
