Just launched on Monday and she's already handling like a champ. I'll be boxing her up today or tomorrow and shipping her off to another skipper for safekeeping while I'm at boot camp.

I know I wouldn't have the patience for it. Kudos man. Look forward to seeing you in SC. Keep me posted on shipping arrangements.

It's crawling so slowly due to the lack of wind. Give it a good breeze and it'll perk right up.

I'm just a meglomaniac... very Tim Allen/ tool time. The other day I was looking at 4.4m inflatable catamarans that do 70mph! They are called zap cats. They race em. I do very much appreciate the work and the skill it takes to captain a model like that. I have done a bit of sailing mostly single mast lateen or sloop rigs. Sunfishes and regular day sailers. I really liked that link to the build thread of that other sailing ship you posted in another thread.

So how do you get her off the bottom in a deeper pond?

normally theres something that floats placed on the deck fo the ship, attatched to the keel of the boat by a high-strength fishing wire, or something similar...

But a lot of the ponds people battle in are shallow enough to wade/swim into to retrieve sunken boats.
