I was aiming for google earth co-ordinates, I'm planning on creating a google earth tour of battlesites.
I was using the Google maps website, but I couldn't find the coordinates. I tried some numbers from the URL and wound up in Turkmenistan, then in Kansas. Warspite hit the nail on the head: how do you get the coordinates? I can find the location on the map easily, but not the numbers to post.
I actually use the Google earth free download version. (Much, much more fun than google maps). It gives you the co-ordinates right there on the page, although some fine tuning is usually necessary.
