Just a Quick question If anyone has tried this before. how far would a bb form a ship travel if it were completely submerged in water ( kinda like if you made an underwater torpedo launcher that shot bbs below the water line ) [IMG] Sorry i was testing the picture thing out, it has nothing to do with the topic. But a nice ship indeed [:D]

Never tried it with a fast gun cannon, but with Big Gun cannons, the maximum effective balsa-penetrating distance is about 6 inches. As for total travel distance, that depends on the depth of your pond [:)]

Well is big gun that much more powerful? Dont all clubs use regulators in which all are adjusted to 150 psi?

The distance a bb will travel under water, and still penetrate, depends velocity it enters the water. A more or less stock cannon is probibly good for 6-8" before they will just bounce.
A cannon with some real good power might do 18". However, only a carefully built cannon will do something like that- not a stock type from BC.

Also cannon work best if mounted above the waterline- otherwise the barrels fill with water which slows things down alot.
