I just gave them my CC# & told them to extract a whole mess of money from my account.... And by Wednesday of next week... I'll be the proud papa of a brand new CNC mill! :) YEAH!!

On a side note, my CNC controller arrived today.. Haven't had the chance to unpack it yet, but those 4 axis are certainly heavy !:)

    YEAAAAAHHHH!!!!

Word to the wise... if you disconnect or connect a stepper motor to the xylotex drive while powered, or hook it up wrong, the drive WILL fry. check, recheck, and check again. and if you do not hard wire to the xylotex, I suggest a good connector that locks in place so you can not accidentaly pull it out.

    good luck.

Sounds like Greg has some experence. As soon as I find out what the union is planning on doing with our new contract, I'm looking at a 24 x 36 inch cnc router. I have not decided on a brand yet, still looking at them. You guys got any suggestions on which one to get?

For CNC routers... I am not that familiar. I am familiar with what justin has, as he is buying what I bought/built a couple years back.

The cnc routers (and one laser cutting table) I am familiar with are all home built or kit built jobs using T-slot aluminum frames and rods as ways along with belts or acme thread screws for travel. Unfortunatly I can not recall what his was. One word to the wise, is to ask for references to recent customers and then call and talk with them and see what people like and dislike about it.

the romaxx looks awesome... I would still call and ask to speak with folks using the machine as well as check out www.cnczone.com the ways on the machine make all the difference. The other thing to remember... if you have 6" in Z, that really means you have 3" for your part and 3" for your tool... generally speaking.
