I'm thinking something small without windows cut out, maybe a sheetmetal nose plate, but with way too much power and weight.

That way it can drive around during the winter battles and break up ice as it instantly refreezes while being impervious to flying bb's from bb's.

I thought ice breaking in a kayak was fun. That was a great day of battling and fun. You would need a pretty heavy boat with a good deal of power, and really the problem is more the floating pieces of ice ripping through hull skin, so you would need something to clear the entire area and not just break it up. But hey it was still fun, and everyone sank but its such an easy pond to retrieve boats from I dont have any problems sinking there. When we rowed out to get my boat we actually turned around once we were about 75% of the way there so we could row back to shore and get the camera, the water was so clear once you let it settle, its really cool to be able to see the bottom that well. And we went back out and found the turret I lost when I sank, which i never thought we would be able to do. Its a nice little battle pond, even ice covered.

Dont cut the windows out so the ice wont penetrate.

For the ice breaker yeah but that still doesnt solve the problem of the ice being able to rip holes in the hulls of all the other boats. You have to break up and clear the area of ice for it to be "safe". Just using a boat to break up the ice wont solve that problem. Its not really a big deal since most people are building/refitting during the winter anyway, and its goofy fun to have a crazy ice berg battle once in a while.

hey, makes it more realistic... haha.

You could always just pour a gallon of antifreeze in the pond a few hours before the battle...

The ships have to follow the ice breaker. Maybe use a large ship for an icebreaker so that ships behind it are driving down a path wider than they are. I dont think the pond sharks, or the carp, would like drinking antifreeze that early in the morning.
